 Cisco Wireless AP 1242
I need to configure Cisco AP 1242 (image=JEA) as a workgroup bridge. The scenario is, There is Cisco AP working in standalone AP mode from which mobile clients get connected to Vlan 10. Now I want to configure one more AP as a workgroup nearby the Standalone AP So that it can carries another 2 vlans eg. Vlan 11 and 12. Then this workgroup bridge will be connected to L2 switch and the switch will gives connectivity to two different vlan clients in the warehouse. The End Client are fixed not moving. Please suggest if any one has idea and possibility.

Software/Hardware used:
Coscp AP 1242 series APs.

Answer Wiki:
We have Cisco AP 1242 (assume this is AP-1A) installed in warehouse. This gives wireless connectivity to clients in vlan A. These Cisco AP 1242 are then connected to Switch through wire to reach gateway. Now There are some clients which are far away from this Cisco AP signal range. Hence I decided to Add another Cisco AP 1242 (assume this is AP-1B) in workgroup bridge. so that this AP-1B will connect to AP-1A  through wireless to reach gateway and its BVI/fast ethernet port will gives connectivity to switch then another clients in different vlan for example Vlan B and Vlan C.

I don’t really get what the question is.  What information are you looking for?

OK.  So you are using the second AP as a wireless bridge to a switch, and you want the secondary AP to have two separate VLAN IDs.

Outside of remarking the VLANs at the switch, you won’t be able to use two vlans off the secondary AP.  The AP assigns VLANs according to SSID, so for this scenario, it seems your best topology would be to create two SSIDs in AP-1A.  SSID 1 will supply wireless for clients on VLAN A and SSID 2 will use VLAN B for the wireless bridge.

If you purchase a third AP you can setup AP-1A with 3 SSIDs.  This will allow you to use VLAN C.  Just make sure to separate VLAN B and VLAN C on the switch.
