Cisco switch for iSCSI SAN


SAN, NetApp, iSCSI, Cisco switches, Switches, FAS960C

A SearchStorage.com reader recently asked:

I was wondering if you could recommend a Cisco switch that can be used for Exchange to SAN (NetApp FAS960C) iSCSI connectivity.

If you require that your whole iSCSI Exchange solution remains in the SAN domain, you can use the Cisco MDS9509 or MDS9216 Fibrie Channel switches. You can purchase an iSCSI blade for the above and connect to you SAN fabric as normal.
