Chinese as secondary laungage on iSeries

Hi,

I need to setup Chinese (Lang caode - 2989) as secondary lang. on V6R1. I have parimary 2924 English installed on my box. So where else i need to configure to get Chinese login prompt/ main and all sub menus.

Chinese is a DBCS language code, I think Chinese have to be the primary language defined on the system.

Chinese does NOT have to be the primary language. You can have an English primary and Chinese secondary.

    Chinese is a double byte language and it can be primary but a better solution is to replace single byte english 2924 with double byte english 29xx. Then you can run Chinese double byte as a secondary language so the normal OS shows up in English unless you have a PC set to a different language feature for 5250. You can then run any secondary language both single byte and double byte when you have a double byte primary language installed. I hope this helps. Lovemyi
