How can I check who is the authority for a reverse DNS IP address?

To determine who owns an IP you can start by asking <a href="https://www.arin.net/">ARIN</a>. Use the Who Is Serch box up in the upper right hand corner. This is the IP register for the US. If the IP is not a US IP, it will refer you to the register for the appropriate country. The name and and contact info of the company or person that owns that IP space will be provided.
