Charges for bandwidth
Does it make sense for a data center to charge for the bandwidth that is used over a 30 day period? Doesn't it make more sense to look at how much is used at any one time?

Answer Wiki:
nth percential charging for bandwidth is the standard way that all CoLos charge. This gives everyone a fare charge on the bandwidth. If they charged by the highest peak, and your normal bandwidth is 3Mb, but you have a 1 minute spike to 98Mb should you really be charged for the full 98Mb. This could be several thousand dollars for 1 minute of usage.
