
I am having trouble with TIVO .... seems it's stuck on one channel and does not respond to prompts to change the channel.... I've tried the settings but nothing seems to be working..... could it be the IR cable needs to be changed? I'm not tech savvy myself but they said they'd send me new cables from TIVO
Any suggestions?Has anyone had this issue?




If you’re not ‘tech-savvy’, this probably isn’t the site for you. Further, TIVO units generally aren’t within the scope of what this site covers. (And what exactly is an “IR cable”? That seems almost contradictory, but it’s irrelevant for this anyway.)
Are you sure it’s an actual ”TiVo” unit? If your provider thinks the “IR cable” is at fault, it might be. However, TiVo units can usually be freed up simply by powering them off and restarting them. If that hasn’t been done, it’s about the only thing you can do on your own. Make sure the power is off for at least a minute or so.
