we recently upgraded to V5R3 and can no longer change system value QUTCOFFSET.

QUTCOFFSET et QTIMZON
QTIMZON indique le fuseau horaire local (nouveau type *TIMZON)
la commande WRKTIMZON les montre, CRTTIMZON en cree un nouveau.
Cet objet indique a/ le decalage local avec GMT
b/ les dates de changement d'heure hiver/ete
Il existe ainsi Trois objets pour l'Europe, le notre est QP0100CET2

Setting the time zone after an IPL
Use iSeries Navigator to specify a time zone for your system to use. This topic describes how to change or edit the time zone (QTIMZON) system value using iSeries Navigator. However, you can also specify the time zone (QTIMZON) system value in a 5250 emulator session by using the Work with System Values (WRKSYSVAL) or the Change System Value (CHGSYSVAL) commands.
Complete the following steps to change the time zone (QTIMZON) system value using iSeries Navigator:
In iSeries Navigator, expand My Connections –>server-name –> Configuration and Service –> Time Management –> Time Zones.
View the Time zones listed in the Available time zones field, and select the time zone you want to use on the system. For more information, see Details.
Click Change system value.
Click OK to continue with the change request.

I have found tgh answer – wrktimzon – and then change our system value to the time zone we wnat.
Yes, once time-zone capability became enabled, QUTCOFFSET became dependent on time zone. The two cannot be allowed to contradict. So, if QUTCOFFSET should be different, change it by setting the appropriate time zone.
