I wanted to change the system request option 5 from SNDMSG to a command line. So i created a new message file and changed the text in CPX2313 and then i used the command to CHGSYSLIBL to put my lib on top of the libl. But still when i take option 5 on system rqs i get the following error "Command CMDEXC in library *NLVLIBL not found" Can anybody help me out with? Thanks in advance for your help

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Hi,

There is no system command CMDEXC.

If you want a command line you should use your own command to CALL QUSCMDLN. You will need to keep the other commands in the same position in the message text as in the original message – each command has 10 characters for the command, plus one space following the command.

Bear in mind that whatever command you use here it will be prompted before running.

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.

sorry i forgot to inform that i created that command. I just wanted to know how to put user defined commands in place of System request. I even did a CHGSYSLIBL and added my libeary containing the command to libl. I did this becoz i was gettin the error CMDEXC not present in *NLVLIBL.

Hi, Looks like the commands have to be contained in the National Language Libraries - alternatively you could try using a command exit point. There's some information on This link Hope this helps, Martin Gilbert.
