I have a user, who wants his reports to be printed in 12CPI, rather than the standard CPI setting. Can this be changed without using a *WSCST object and if so, how is it done??

Yes this can be done. From the command line or from the CL pgm(if it is present) use OVRPRTF command against the PRTF being used in the pgm.. By using this command on the 4th or 5th page the required parameter to be given against CPI as 12.
