Changing a User’s name in GAL
Hi All, I have a user who was originally created as FirstName LastName, and this is how it shows up in the GAL. However, I would like to get the name uniform with the rest by having it LastName, FirstName. I have modified the display name in ADUsers. The Mailbox is also listed as LastName, FirstName. Where can I make this change so that the GAL will reflect LastName, FirstName? Thank you for any assistance that anyone can provide. Pete

Answer Wiki:
What version of Exchange? 2003/2007 ***** Run your recipient update service from exchange system manager. Usually this just runs once a day at midnight or whatever time you have it set to. ~ technochic ***** Its Exchange 2003, running on SBS 2003. I actually ran both services. 1. Recipient Update Service (Enterprise Configuration) 2. Recipient Update Service (Our Domain) Just another note... I'm trying to learn as much about Exchange Management as possible as the person who was previously "running the show' has moved on. So please forgive me if my questions seem pretty basic, or if I ask a few follow up questions. Thanks in advance, Pete
