I'm converting a bunch of files (I think they're .TEX) into Word files (.DOCX). But when I convert the files, the tables in the Word doc have 'normal table' style. There are no borders at all and I want to change it. How can I change this style?

If the files are currently a .TXT file format then there are really no formatting of tables in a way Word can interpret/convert. The .TXT table is just created by manually spacing/tabbing to align the data into columns to give the appearance of a table.  You would have to add borders manually in Word. You might have some luck doing a copy of the TXT table and paste into Excel then add the border and then copy that into Word. Messy but it might be quicker.
