How do I change the User on a as/400 spool file? Thanks

iSeries, OS-400, Pgm Language (CL)

The user is the USRPRF that was used from the job that created the SPLF.
That cannot be changed after the fact.
On the SBMJOB command the is a parm for USER.
You can put a different USRPRF in there.

    Thank you Charlie. I had used that in this instance but the problem going forward is that this particular user won't have *usrprf authority to any of these profiles. I have been investigating Profile Swapping options. Thanks again, Dan

    Be aware that a profile-swap will bring the QPRTJOB job issue into the question. A spooled file created by a current-user that is different from the job-user will be created under a QRTJOB job rather than under the name of the running job. It takes a little effort to get around that, if it turns into a problem.

    You can use SNDNETSPLF to send a duplicate to another user. The original could then be deleted if no longer needed. Tom
