If you are really interested into networking then the best thing for you to start up with is CCNA but break into two pieces so that you can understand the concept well. You can take the ICND1 and ICND2 exams to earn your CCNA. You must have a good networking knowledge. Be familiar with the basics of network, grab any basic networking book and read it , so that you are aware of ABC of networking. Once you feel comfortable then plan for CCNA as well as MCP or MCSE will be a added advantage as these days please always like to hire the guys with exposure to both systems and networks.

you have to change your career but what exactly are you doing is very important. getting afresh into networking will take you years to settle down after certification.

graphics on the other hand is better in the sense - current and coming era is definitely going to demand highly in multimedia field.

What a range - these two disciplines seem so far removed from each other!

When I was making my choice on career path, I stopped to examine what I enjoyed doing enough to make a long term career of, as well as which of my choices would give me an income I would be comfortable with. Going with your passion (graphics) might be the more rewarding choice….. or it could spoil your enjoyment of it.

Good luck with your decison

I’d recommend spending some time at the library or bookstore reading through books such as TCP/IP For Dummies to see if it interests you. The last thing you want to do is going down this path and end up not enjoying it. Here’s some content I’ve written on getting started in IT. Best of luck!
