 “Carry it Easy” Alternative
Hi All,

Im after a user friendly program that will be able to migrate Outlook data from one computer to another. I know you can just copy the pst file and set it up that way but Im after an automated program that can do it with no issues, like carry it easy but without the price tag.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Answer Wiki:
What could be more easy than the Export / Import function on the File menu? It is only about five mouse clicks to export a PST file to a location of your choice and about 5 mouse clicks to import the file into another PC. Also, SanDisk Cruzer Flash Drives come with free U3 software Dmailer Sync which is a PC backup/Outlook sync utility.

Open Outlook. Click on the File Menu, Click on “Import and Export …”.
The Wizard will step you through the process. If you are transfering your data to another Outlook PC, use the “Export to a File” option and then on the next screen use “Personal Folder File (.pst)”.
The next screen will show your Folder List. Select the folder you want to export. If you want everything, select the highest level available. Notice the Filter button and the “Include Subfolder” check box.

Oops, I didn’t notice your version request. I don’t have 2007, but I think the round window button is the equivelent of the File Menu. If not, there is always Help. Search for Export.

In Outlook 2007 there is still the File Menu. The round windows button is on everything else in the Office 2007 suite EXCEPT outlook. So your instructions are still valid ITAddict. :-)
