 Career switch to software testing
Hi.I am a production Engineer. I am considering a carrer in testing. i have no knowledge in coding. how does one get started and what are the pre-requisites?

if you are talking about software testing, you don't need to be expert in programming. you will at least need a basic.. like my friend, she was doing level 1 support and she switch to become a program tester and they will actually give you 1 set of document to test the software following a flow. its actually a test script for you to do your work and what you will need to do is to fill in if there are any errors that happen when you are conducting your test

Like Jinteik mentioned you dont need programming exprience for testing.
You would need some basics of testing. If you organization already has a testing team am sure you can get some mentoring from them.
If you are looking to find a job in a new organization, see if you can get an internship where they can help you learn testing process.
You can start with some testing book to find out more about what all is involved in testing.
