I am doing MBA in Software Enterprise Management from CDAC, Noida. The course is mainly focused towards ERP/SAP. I have planned to opt for system administration as specialization in second year in which we will be taught Database base Administration, ABAP and BASIS. I want to know about the future career prospects of SAP System Administration. What is the career path of system admn in IT industry? I also have an interest in HR. So I am a bit confused whether I should go for system administration or HR module. Plz suggest. I have done B. Tech in Electronics and Communication and is also having 1 year work experience as software engineer.

Between interest and what you are pursuing exactly, you can get the answer yourself, go for DBA, it has more value by all means. Growth is faster and there will be less touring as compared to HR functional or technical lead. And above all who stops you to go for both, if you do that, you will be having double value for your organization. My preference will be System Administration.
