I understand that SAP FI/CO is usually the first module to be implemented at any SAP client site. Also, accounting and control principles are pretty standard and don't change much once installed unlike most other SAP modules. Given, this scenario do established SAP clients have much need for FICO functional consultants at all? If they do, what are the typical needs and are these engagements typically very short (due to minimal changes)?
I have an MBA in Finance and several years of IT experience ( no SAP). I am wondering if getting into the SAP FI/CO functional space would be a good career move or am I already too late to jump on this bandwagon?
On that note, how is the prospect for mySAP? - Thanks for any advice.
