I am planning to do a certificate course in SQL as my currect work demands for SQL and I have started learning SQL on net. Am I [em][strong]academically eligible[/strong] [/em]to make a sound career in Data warehousing or Data Management. If no, please advise me what I should do? (qualifications required for datawarehousing or data management)

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

A Data Warehouse (DW) is a collection of technologies and techniques aimed at enabling the knowledge worker. Few specialization areas of Data Warehousing Profession are:
1. Data Warehouse Project Leader.
2. Data Warehouse Designer and Architect.
3. Senior Data Warehousing Consultant.
4. Principle consultants and Data Miner.
5. Customer Relation Manger (CRM)
6. Data Warehouse Team Leader.
7. Data Warehouse Administrators.
8. Data Warehouse Manager.
9. Data Modeler / Architect.
10. Oracle Warehouse Builder
Skill or eligibility is normal. As ur knowledge, u may do certification on DW. Though it requires extraction, Transformation & Loading related to Data Warehouse, Data Mining. It requires the ability to work on Data warehouse Design also.
But u may first go for OCP certification from Oracle, which is a Global and has two parts: For Application Developer and other is DataBase Administrator (DBA). Both Application Developer and PL/SQL is a part of in-depth knowledge of programming.
Remember u always take a global certs for these all. It is now UR decision to take which one u get according ur capacity.

One thing I would say that, why r u not going for Costing / CA / Secretarial courses or for an MBA where u r a B.Com graduate !

Hope this info help u to take decision.

Good Luck !
