Since you are a recent graduate, the best course of action to to learn the business side of the industry. Regardless of your technical background, industry knowledge is the key to a successful career. You may find that the industry of your field does not interest you and you may want to change to another related industry. However, take the time to learn the business side of the industry you are interested in. The software aspects can be picked up at anytime.
