career advise


Basis, Career development, Training, Certifications, SAP careers, CRM, DataManagement

I am a fresh graduate in petroleum engineering and wish to purse a course in sap; I have no experience in IT order than basic computer knowledge. I want a sap course that is related to my field (petroleum Eng) and also make me a consultant. I was looking at MM in sap until recently I met a friend who advised I study sap basis. Another friend also advised Plant maintenance. Please do advice me on the best course to take since I'm also looking at something the will give a better broad knowledge to start my career.

Since you are a recent graduate, the best course of action to to learn the business side of the industry. Regardless of your technical background, industry knowledge is the key to a successful career. You may find that the industry of your field does not interest you and you may want to change to another related industry. However, take the time to learn the business side of the industry you are interested in. The software aspects can be picked up at anytime.
