I can receive email and send new messages but I can't forward or reply to messages. I've tried all kinds of suggestions. Yes I have the right ports, the right SMTP, etc., I've reloaded dlls, etc. This happened after my HD crashed and I reloaded the manufacturers recovery disk and all the 200 plus XP upgrades that ocurred since.
Software/Hardware used:
XP and Outlook Express 6

Thanks for the suggestion but they didn’t work. I disabled the anti-virus for outgoing messages but it still wouldn’t allow forwards or replies to send. I started with an empty Outlook Express sent file as I had to reinstall all my software due to my C drive failing. All the folders in the inbox were also new.
What really baffles me is that I can send new messages and receive email but can’t reply or forward. In order to do either of those functions, I have to make a new message and then copy and paste the content of what I’m trying to send to look like a replied or forwarded message. The extra steps are a pain.

OK, going to try this again as I don’t see a reply button and my first attempt didn’t seem to make it.

I am forced to group Outlook mesages by conversation in order to forward them. If I group by date, from, subject or size the option is not there to forward the message. On the Right side go to Arrange by and select group by conversation. I hate to group by conversation because it is to confusing to read the whole group and sometimes when you forward a message, another message from another group is attached which could prove embarasing. And also when you receive a new message that is related, it is sometimes missed because it is hidden in the group conversation mess.
