Open .swf file(s) in safari by dragging it to safari icon while holding down the command & options keys. Else safari can not open it all. Or you can download/install elmediaplayer (a small tool) to open the same.

I have similar challenge on Windows. Can the solution for Mac also work for Windows OS? The .SWF files originated from CCTV footage and only 5KPlayer is able to play the files but even with it, only blank screen will be playing. I can't see any motion pictures displaying as the file is been played.

@Abdulmuha: First thing you need to do is determine what format the file is written in. The ".SWF" extension doesn't tell you that; it only tells you how the file was named. Any format can have any extension. You could rename the file to sat ".TXT" and its content or format wouldn't change at all.

You say it's "CCTV footage", but you didn't say how it was created. What device generated the footage what recorded it? (Manufacturers, model # and possibly any software versions)

If we know those, we might guess what the format is. Otherwise you'll need to look inside the file and interpret any format headers.

@Abdulmuha, for Windows you can download/install your camera 2.6 (a free tool) for viewing purpose. Or for Mac you can try Mac dvr viewer software.
