 Can’t change the save option in Word 2007
In Word 2007's Save Options, I changed the preferred format from .docx to .doc. This works for the session when I make the change. However, if I get out of Word, reboot the machine, etc., the option changes back to .docx. Has anyone else run into this?

Kkeip are you using this method to change the format: In an Office 2007 application select the Home Office button (top left), then click Word/Excel/Power Point Options at the bottom of the screen. Select Save in the left pane and use the drop-down to select Word/Excel/Power Point 97-2003 Document (.*doc) for Save files in this format. Hope this helps. CG._

Hi CG,

Yes I am. I used this option for Powerpoint and Excel and the change stays. however, in Word 2007 it continues to revert back to the .docx format. It’s not a show stopper, but it is annoying.
