DWA is having known issue with Mozila Firefox. Even with IE if you enable script debugging & disable activex then some DWA function will not work like: logout hangs etc.

Mac users should be using the “Webmail” UI which does not require ActiveX.
If your URL has the string &ui=inotes in it, try changing it to use &ui=webmail
