Cannot open your default e-mail in Outlook 2007
When I try to open Outlook (Microsoft 2007) I get an error message that reads: cannot opnet your default e-mai folders. When I click OK or X it immediately closes Oultook. I cannot access Outlook at all. Note: I placed my computer on sleep mode last night and when I started it up this afternoon it went to a black screen with notations that errors needed to be corrected and it went through scanning the harddrives etc.

Answer Wiki:
Is this an exchange account or an ISP account to which you download to a .pst file? If a .pst file try using scanpst to find and correct corruption. If an exchange account is it on cached mode? Take it off of cached mode. Try recreating the profile. The solution is going to depend on the details. Please provide more details. Thanks.

Thats really bad that you kept your PC on sleep mode and yes from now onwards develop habit of making PST backup. Now moving on to the solution you should try out inbox repair tool to sort out the issues but I guess that would not work. Then left is only one solution that you have to reinstall your outlook followed by a data recovery application to recover the lost data after re-installation.

Microsoft pst repair always works Exchangeoutlook…
I have use it so many times, never had any trouble…
-Some reasons pst files are corrupt is P.C powering OFF with Outlook still in-use or in sleep mode.
-or infected
