“cannot establish a security context with the client”

Trying to use SMS in an enterprise setting. When we try to remote to a user we get the following error: "cannot establish a security context with the client" any idea what we can do to work around this?

Which version of SMS are you running?
This was an issue with ver 1.2 when you were trying to reboot the client thru a remote session.
The workaround was to reboot the client from within the Quick Viewer window.

    We are using 2.0 with some of use using the newest version. We are not even being able to connect to a machine let alone reboot it.

    Have you checked Event Viewer for informational and error events? At least under Security you should see denied events. Is this a new issue and if so has there been any changes to the SMS server like SPs, patches, etc.? And this happens regardless of what type of client: 32-bit, 16-bit, Win2K, XP?

    The only thing we have in our environment is XP pro machines. This is a new occurance, has been happening slowly for about a week at least on my end other support staff has noticed this past week. Havent thought about checking in with Events, but it makes sense now, it does appear it might be a patch. I can remote into our Terminal Server via citrix and use an older version of SMS remote to connect, but the same tool on my machine hangs it. We can also have brand new roll out machines and I am able to connect fine with them until they reboot.. so this is showing a patch between us somewhere on the XP machines.. thanks I will look more into this and post more.
