Cannot create File: Outlook 2003

Keep getting "Right click the folder you want to create file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder" when I tery to open an Excel file. If it is renanmed something else and sent I can open it with no problem. How do I fix this?

Please check that you have write permissions on the folder where the file resides.
Example consider the file is in c:\attachments, righ-click that folder and choose “Sharing and security” then select the Security tab and be sure that your user is selected and that has write permissions.

    Does this happen when you open an Excel file that is attached to an e-mail message, or when you try to save the file ?

    When i try to open file in e-mail I get this error. I cannot open it or save it as anything else. I also can not open any previous files of the same name in Outlook.

    So, this happens only with that file name ? What's the name ? Have you tried opening the same file in other pc ?
