Hello! I have a Compaq Presario V5207NR Notebook PC w/ Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN and connected to EDimax BR-6204WLg Broadband Router. My problem is that, when I turned on the computer and the router, I can't connect/access the internet immediately. Sometime, I have to turned off the internet, then back on, before I can have an access. How can I resolve this problem. I hope you can help me. Thanks. . .

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Sounds like a DHCP issue. What does ipconfig look like? Do you have an address when you boot the notebook? Boot the router first so that DHCP is running and then follow with the notebook.

I agree with the above answer. I would try keeping the router on, even when the computer is not going to be used.

And make sure that you give the router a good 2-3 minutes to start up completely. You may want to consider updating your wireless NIC driver as well as the firmware in your router.
