first check your DNS if working
2nd your DNS ms record it should be pointed to your exchange server.

check your services , IIS, Exchange services , SMTP , RPC. this should be running.

good luck

I setup Outlook 2003 that came with Office 2003 Suite. I am trying to figure how to setup the connections with Exchange. Thye server name is: server1. Do I setup the path for exchange to \server1exchange ?

The exchange server name should be “server1″

After that you should know the username. If you click on the Check Name button with a valid username and the DNS name for the email server in the server name field, it should be successful. Otherwise you should check DNS to make sure server1 is the correct server name.
