Cannot configure Squid v2.6 using webmin
Hello, This is what i get when I try to configure squid using webmin on mandriva 2007. Please assist on what to do now. Thanks. Your version of Squid is not supported by Webmin. Only versions from 1.1 to 2.5 are supported by this module. The command squid -v returned : Squid Cache: Version 2.6.STABLE1 configure options: '--build=x86_64-mandriva-linux-gnu' '--prefix=/usr' '--exec-prefix=/usr' '--bindir=/usr/sbin' '--sbindir=/usr/sbin' '--sysconfdir=/etc/squid' '--datadir=/usr/share' '--includedir=/usr/include' '--libdir=/usr/lib64' '--libexecdir=/usr/lib64/squid' '--localstatedir=/var' '--sharedstatedir=/usr/com' '--mandir=/usr/share/man' '--infodir=/usr/share/info' '--x-includes=/usr/include' '--x-libraries=/usr/lib64' '--enable-icap-support' '--with-maxfd=1024' '--disable-poll' '--enable-epoll' '--enable-snmp' '--enable-useragent-log' '--enable-referer-log' '--enable-removal-policies=heap,lru' '--enable-storeio=aufs,coss,diskd,ufs,null' '--enable-cachemgr-hostname=localhost' '--enable-truncate' '--enable-underscores' '--enable-carp' '--enable-async-io' '--enable-htcp' '--enable-icmp' '--enable-delay-pools' '--enable-linux-netfilter' '--enable-default-hostsfile=/etc/hosts' '--enable-ssl' '--with-openssl=/usr' '--enable-arp-acl' '--enable-wccp' '--enable-wccpv2' '--enable-auth=basic,digest,ntlm,negotiate' '--enable-basic-auth-helpers=getpwnam,LDAP,MSNT,multi-domain-NTLM,NCSA,PAM,SASL,SMB,YP' '--enable-ntlm-auth-helpers=fakeauth,no_check,SMB' '--enable-digest-auth-helpers=ldap,password' '--enable-external-acl-helpers=ip_user,ldap_group,session,unix_group,wbinfo_group' '--enable-follow-x-forwarded-for' '--with-pthreads' '--disable-dependency-tracking' '--disable-ident-lookups' '--enable-large-cache-files' '--with-large-files' '--with-build-environment=default' 'CFLAGS=-O2 -g -pipe -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fexceptions -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64' 'CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/include/openssl ' 'build_alias=x86_64-mandriva-linux-gnu'

Answer Wiki:
You'd probably do yourself a much bigger favor by editing the configuration file manually. The main squid file is /etc/squid/squid.conf on Mandriva systems. It's a large file, but it's very well described in the comments. If you want to use webmin, I'd guess that you need to update your webmin package. Squid 2.6 has been supported since Version 1.300 on 15 Sept 06. If you have a package older than that, you need to update anyway. I don't use Webmin, but I use Squid all of the time, so I don't know if Mandriva 2007's default install of webmin support squid 2.6. Use urpmi to update it. Don
