Can you use ABAP to extract data out of BI? Or is there an extract tool for BI I should be using?

Hi PMS You can use any language program to extract data from SAP. There are of course tools or software in the market to do that. Based on your requirements, you can search the web; by simply entering the search words "extract data from SAP BI or BW". Examples of s/w and providers: Winshuttle from winshuttle.com, ETL from thespot4sap.com, Open Hub service from Microsoft. There are a number of them in the market. You need to see your requirements and compare with what the s/w provides. You need to see other criteria also - user-friendliness, user support, etc.. Of course most importantly one-time and recurring costs. DO NOT JUST TAKE SOMEONE"S WORD FOR GRANTED. Do your own research. Others' sincere feedback of experience will definitely help. Regards, JG
