Be ready for years of study, research, writing, oral exams, etc. Very hard to get a technical PhD before 30 (four years for a BS, two-three years for an MS, and six-eight years for a PhD. Yes, there are 2d and 3d tier schools where you can complete more quickly, but who want’s to fly coach?

Plan for a lifetime of learning and study.
