Can we simulate a library with multiple tape drives?

We have several LTO3 tape drives instead of purchasing a library can we make use of the 4 drives like a library to span tapes without having to load new ones? Using Backup Exec 12 on Win 2008 R2.

I think what you are looking to do is create a “Cascading Drive Pool” I know it was in earlier versions of the software but I’m not 100% sure about 12.0. Note: the drives must be the same, kind of like you need matching hard drives in a RAID the same goes for the Cascading Drive Pools.
