Q:
Can we run synchnonous data replication on WAN FCoE?
Hi;

FCoE is the new standard. I noticed that most of the FCoE applications nowadays implemented within data center or campus network. Can we extend the fiber channel connection for synchronous data replication over long distance connection , say 100km. Will the fiber channel protocol work?

Thnks in advance

Yes you can run synchronous data replication over FCoE (as long as your device supports it), however 100km is about as far as you'll want to try running synchronous replication as the WAN speed is going to start to become an issue.
