 Can the J2SE FileChannel class be translated to J2ME?

I have a J2SE 1.4 application I'd like to port to J2ME but it uses nio FileChannel. Is there a method that will translate the FileChannel calls approximately to the J2ME API? Thanks in advance! Jerry McCobb
