The answer to your question is "definitely maybe"... Windows treats you hard drive as available RAM (memory) up to the limits set in the System Properties area (for WinXP). The more physical memory you've got, the less Windows will need to use the hard drive. The hard drive being used as memory is called your swap file, page file or virtual memory (all basically mean the same thing). If you want SEP to use less swap file/page file, increase your physical memory. There may be a registry setting which controls SEP swap file usage, but I would strongly suggest you not monkey about with the registry for this program: as much as I like Symantec products (best of a bad lot, IMHO), they have a tendency to be "twitchy" if set incorrectly....
