Can Personal Oracle 7 or Oracle Developer/2000 be installed in XP?

Oracle Developer 2000, Oracle 7

I have an older version of Oracle, Personal Oracle 7 and Oracle Developer/2000 which were designed for Windows 95 and NT. They will not install in XP (probably for obvious reasons). Is there a way to get them to install? Is there a patch or something that will allow me to install them???

Also.... It tried to install Personal Oracle 7 and had errors in the middle so it did write some files. I think SQL Plus was installed. I did not see an undelete program nor was it listed in add remove programs. I'm assuming due to the age of this software it was not trying to write to the registry so I just deleted all the directories and files it wrote. Of course I don't know what it put in the system directory nor which system directory it put things in between system and system32.

I saw some directories in blue under the windows directory called: $NtUninstallKB835221WXP$ with a subdirectory called: spuninst There were 3 of them with slightly different names. Does anybody know what these are? The creation dates indicate they have nothing to do with the attempted Oracle installs.
