 Exchange: Can not receive mails from other domains
Exchange 2003, Exchange Send/Receive, Windows Server 2003
Hi i installed exchange server 2003. I can send mails other domains (exsample yahoo.com) but i can not receive mails from  other domains . I confinguroval MX from my hosting . How can I resolve the problem?

Test if the IP address is correct and port 25 is open by telnetting to the IP address on port 25. If there is a response, your server should be ready to receive inbound mail (providing that it is authorized to listen for the specified domain on port 25). Provide us more details if the testing fails and we will offer additional assistance. yes i now i can connect to this server now when i tried i get domain.embawod.dm. My domain server is embawood.dm But i want that my mailserver will be embawood.az exsample tets.embawood.az . I add recepient policy from my exchange server management , and i add smtp mail for my users But problem not resolved I send mail With telnet and i get the test mail

in this IP i have embawood.dm domain but when i tested it gived me there is not domain in this ip My global IP is 85.132.35.14. When i telnetted this ip on port 25 i get tis message : I couldnt open connection to this host on port 25

Glad port 25 works properly.

Review this wikipedia article on MX records. Once you have ensured that the DNS records (A & MX) are properly configured, then go to MXTools and see if the records are available on the internet. Until the records have been propagated across the internet or can be resolved outside of your network, inbound email will not work.

I queried for the MX record for embawood.az and I got back 85.132.35.14.embawood.az. But the name 85.132.35.14.embawood.az doesn’t have an IP address assigned to it. You said that you are trying to setup this to go to tets.embawood.az. You need to setup tets.embawood.az as an A record in your public DNS server and point the MX record to this A record.

i did it I add my bublik ip to my domian If you ping mail.embawood.az yo will see it . I add MX and A record on my domain (embawood.az) 85.132.35.14. I think that my problem is : DNS server name on my company is embawood.dm But i want that I get mail from Embawood.az domain. But i add recepient policy the domain name embawood.az and i added the embawood.az domain to AD domain adn Trustes
