As Microsoft continues to emphasize its enterprise message for Windows 8.1 and Surface Pro tablets, the company is now trying position the lower-cost Surface RT as an enterprise-worthy device. With Apple's iPad and Android-based devices already making waves in various enterprises, boosting the Surface's enterprise presence will be a difficult task. Can Microsoft be successful in making the Surface RT enterprise-worthy?

    They can if they change everything about the RT! Seriously, I think they're joining the market so late that departments considering tablets have already decided to go with iOS or Android. Microsoft should do a better job promoting the native Windows programs for the RT to gain more traction. They have avoided entering the mobile market with Office for a long time now. The RT needs to be an enterprise workhorse and loaded with proper network security tools for it to be attractive. I don't even hear a small whisper about the tablets in my local business community. I am asked more about choosing iOS or Android for tablets than about the Surface.
