Can I speed up my LTO 4 daily tape backup?
Backing up servers over a 100mbps node is very very slow. Is there anything that can be done to speed this up over the existing 100mbps line? The transfers seem to be going at around 7-12mbps. The server is a Windows 2000 Advanced server and the client machines are Windows 2003 R2 servers.

the details are not very clear to me.
if "100mbps node" = some kind of network link and if "7-12mbps" does = per second then that 600mb/m is about the best you can expect.
If the bus is not totally saturated and your backup application supports it then use multiplex with two data streams.
