 Can I run 2 email applications on my computer
E-mail applications, Outlook Express
I have just activated outlook express on my computer, however I do not receive mail on my original optus web mail now. Can I reverse this process or have only one email server? if this bis the case how do I go back to optus webmail

The reason for this is that by default Outlook Express will download the mail from the mail server and delete it from the mail server. When this happens the web mail can no longer see the email because it doesn't exist on the server. You'll need to edit the settings for Outlook Express and tell it to not delete the email off of the server if you want to be able to use the web mail as well as Outlook Express.

This setting is found in tools>account settings. Click the “mail” tab. Click your account then click the “properties” button. Next click the “advanced” tab and check the box “Leave a copy on the server”. Here are pictures of this process if you need them.

The only item that I can suggest is to also check “Remove from server when deleted from ‘Deleted Item’ under Delivery.

Normally, I do not check “Remove from server after xx days’ in case I am not accessing my e-mail for an extended period.
