Can i retrieve a lost folder with no backup?
I have a really critical issue and was hoping you could help me.
I store all users data into a file sever and I setup redirection to their documents. First, I found a huge number of temp files that are making our folder sizes crazy.
Second, there is a whole folder that has disappeared from one of our users. I have failed to retrieve it or even trace where it went and unfortunately I don’t have a backup for that document. I was wondering if you could help me with these problems. Thanks.

If the folder is gone, and it's no in the recycle bin, then it's pretty much gone. You can try the data recovery software, but as other people have been writing to the disk, odds are there is nothing left to recover.
As for the temp files, make sure that the users have the right to delete files in their folders. If they do then the temp files should be deleted automatically. Also make sure that the TEMP and TMP system variables are pointing to a location on the local drive not on the mapped drive.
