Can I locate .PST files in Outlook and verify the associated profile?
Is there a method or tool that can locate a Microsoft Outlook .PST file on a client machine and determine which Outlook profile is associated with it? We are using Windows XP and Outlook 2003.

Answer Wiki:
No I do not think that there is such a tool but you may be able to do this in a round about manner by scavengering machines for .PST files and then using the "owner" value in the ACL to make such a determination. You may also be able to determine the owner simply by reviewing the path as it is typically stored in the user's profile.

There won't be a tool to see what Outlook profile is associated with the pst file as a single PST file could be used by several Outlook profiles.

check tbe default locations:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

also, use the mail icon in the control panel, select show profiles, and look for data files there. This may help identify the PSTs for you
