can i get into open source software development?


Open source

I have listed few comapnies who are into opne souce software development, what is expected out of a person who is intrested in this, all i know is core java. can i get into it, should i be aware of all other technologies?

I don’t have a real answer right now. Basically, ask around. Look for companies with press releases about their open source versus commercial products. Look into open source projects with corporate sponsors, such as those on sourceforge, and start poking around the code.
