I have an Exchange 2000 server, and I would like to set up a mail rule for just one particular mailbox that automatically forwards any incoming email to an external address. Is this even possible?
The purpose of this server is not to be accessed by users so I need to make the change from the server-side.
Thank you much, and please tell me if you need more info.
Software/Hardware used:
Microsoft Exchange 2000, MS SQL Server 2000

I did the above, but there is a problem. The email no longer shows up in the previously-mentioned mailbox, but it also does not go to the desired forwarding address. So effectively, the email just disappears. Additional information is that the forwarding address is an inside address hosted by a separate email server (lotus notes). So it doesn’t need to go to an external location. How can I check to see why the email wouldn’t make it to another inside email server?
Exchange 2003 has a POP3 connector for communicating between mail servers. I assume Exchange 2000 has one as well.
So, I would need a POP3 connector to communicate to a different email server located on the same LAN? Are there any free ones I wonder?
