Hi, I just bought a HP Photosmart C6280 and it has an Ethernet port. I also bought a Linksys Wireless-G USB Adapter. Is there a way I can connect the two to my wireless network without plugging the printer into my router? What I want is the printer in one room, the router in another, and my two computers in two other separate rooms.

Yes this can be done, but it will require purchasing another device. You will need to purchase a wireless bridge. I recommend that Linksys Gaming Adapter. It is effectively a wireless bridge but it’s a little less expensive. This device will put your printer onto the wireless network just like it was plugged in. I’ve used them several times for various devices and they work great.

Mydenny's got a good answer, but before you go out and purchase a new device, you might want to look around. Do you have an old wireless router? I know many old (and new!) wi-fi routers can actually be used as a bridge, depending on the model and firmware it's running. Try googling "wireless router bridge" + model name of your device if you do have one. Targabill, you may want to start this as a new question. That will help. Include more details such as whther the printer is a networkable printer or not. If it is just USB and not networkable you will not be able to connect it to your router. Check and see if you an buy a networkable printer.
