Can desktop or system/server settings block/inhibit PDF weblinks?

PDF, PDF hyperlinks, Hyperlinks

I've put together a PDF fr a law-frim client that has a bunch of embedded weblinks to internal intranet/system pages -- but links work on some machines and not others.

I know many firms block website access -- could this be causing problem?

Are there known conflicts between webliks in PDFs and desktop/system settings (seems unlikely as weblinks in PDF are amazingly common)?

PDF is created to be cmpatible with Acrobat Reader version 4.0, clients have Acrobat reader 7.0 on their desktop.

It could be many reasons:
1. Yes, you have to check the rules defined for web access, firewall, antivirus suite.
2. Are all machines routing through the same domain server?
3. Are all machines belonging to same network?
4. Are all machines using the same browser?
5. You have to check the properties of browser where it is opening viz a viz where it is not opening
6. PDF 4 in version 7 could not be the reason as the lower versions open in the higher version
