BIOS updates aren’t generally difficult but do come with risks. Visit their web site and download necessary files as they suggest. Need the MotherBoard model or system model. Now find the files on the URL and read the BIOS flash instruction very minutely. Now u may run the update program. If there is an option to backup old BIOS and then go for the next. Ensure that, during this process power supply and other environments are intact and completely ok. Else, u may get the system dead. But I suggest that, not to update BIOS, specially in case of Windows 7.
CAUTION: It (BSOD) can mess MBR and even if the bios may be reset, Windows 7 always have pick the IDE mode and isntalled the IDE drivers and makes the machine unbootable.
