Other than some increased pixelation it is working well. Our clients no longer need to be modified to view the pictures.

When you log in and click live video it times out and notifies you to download an activex package from the vendor, (on our client systems this would require IT rights). The company name on the site is verint. The model appears to be S1600e.
The facilities manager, (notice this isn’t the IT manager), says we don’t need to know anything about what goes on in the appliance. He just wants us to make all of the client web browsers work with it.

Is there some device we can replace this “quality appliance” with? If I had been involved from the beginning, I would have strongly recommended a solution that would work with any generic client without modifications and not require a login.

Barring that solution, is there some way we can get one of our regular web servers to connect to this #%*&% thing and present the image to normal clients?
