hi. just want to ask what are the bandwidth capacities for voice and data for copper and fiber cables. also want to know if there is video streaming what is the bandwidth required? last thing is my backbone bandwidth divided by the number of ports in switches?

    Dear Intheblue: Yours is a question very open-ended question for which, I'm sorry to say, there is no simple answer . . . Bandwidth varies greatly by brand & model, usually listed within the cable manufacturers' specifications. Bandwidth will also greatly depend on the network protocol used, the manufacturer & model of your hardware, and require use of the brand & model cabling specified by the hardware manufacturer. Caution: whichever cable you decide to use, be sure that your installation methods are in accordance with the cabling manufacturers' specifications.
