Hello 006,
you can use VBA (Visual basic for Applications) or use the Excel integrated feature to get data from a database.
First create your DSN that points to the Sybase DB, then in Excel under the data menu choose to import the data from your DSN and then with appropriate queries you can get the data that you need that can be later be used in graphs, formulas and so on.
